What is the qualifying process for the 2012 summer olympic games in the sport of taekwondo?

what competition do you have to compete in in order to get to go!|||There will be a qualifying tournament in 2011. You will have to qualify to be invited to that tournament.

Go to www.usa-taekwondo.us for more info. (Assuming you are American)

James|||Well first you must be WTF aproved, it is the only organization thats part of the Tae Kwon Do Olympics.

WTF stands for World Tae Kwon Do Federation.

Usually schools are Kukkiwon or ITF approved. When you earn your black belt you will be certified under one or the other depending on which organization your school is affiliated with. Kukkiwon is affiliated with WTF, so if you%26#039;re certified under ITF, you will not be aproved to qualify for Nationals or the Olympics.

This brings me to the next thing i want to talk about, Nationals.

In order to Qualify for the Olympics you must first go to Nationals and be ranked in the top 2 in your country. This means you need to be the best of the best. Now i%26#039;m not exactly sure how the registration process works to fight in the Nationals so that%26#039;s up to you to find out. I think the link was given above, it will tell you how to participate in Nationals.

So to sum it all up you need to be a Black belt registered Kukkiwon ranked member and be ranked 1st or 2nd in the Nationals.|||what jamesf24 said
