I am looking for taekwondo classes for my sons aged 5 and 8 in kothrud which teach the original form of art.?

I am interested in the pure version of teakwondo and not the sport version which is promoted.|||As Chuck510 has mentioned, you%26#039;re not supplying anyone with all the pertinent information to assist you. While you%26#039;re waiting for someone to post a contact information regarding your search. If you%26#039;re serious enough I suggest the following step for you to take.

First thing you have to do is check your local yellow pages or phone book, look for the all the available schools your area has to offer.

The reason I always suggest to look in the phone book first is due to the fact you%26#039;re pretty looking for a school in your local area. This makes your inquiry a lot faster and easier because all the information is available for you right there.

Secondly, if you are not having any success with this type search, try contacting an organization of that particular style on the internet and ask if they can refer schools or instructors available in your local area.

Please note that there are good number of good instructors that do not advertise or teach for commercial purpose thus you won%26#039;t see them advertise anywhere. They are mostly located in private gyms or community centers.

As for the TKD style, contact the ITF ( International Tae Kwondo Federation) as they may have some instructors for you.

Hope this helps and good luck with your search.|||where are you from?... that means a lot to those who can truely answer your ?|||I am going to say that I am biased on this. If you want a good school look for a Chin Mu Kwan Tae Kwon Do school. This school was founded by H. Y. Kang, an original founder of Tae Kwon Do.|||If you could supply me with more info, I know a great TaeKwon-Do school that teaches the original art and has a GREAT children%26#039;s program. The instructors there work great with kids, and I bet yours will have fun there.|||Ha Ha, good luck finding one that isn%26#039;t a McDojo.

Lmao at capitalctu, he dosen%26#039;t know much about TKD. even to the point of claiming to be a Master at 4th Dan. Lol.|||Look for a Chung Do Kwan School. Chung Do Kwan is the oldest version of Taekwondo available today. Most Chung Do Kwan schools don%26#039;t focus on the sport, though almost all TKD schools now teach some aspects of the sport.|||you should put your kid in kickboxing|||If I understood well it%26#039;s that you don%26#039;t want to do the WTF but ITF. My personal advice is forget about the other %26quot;Do Kwan%26quot; schools. It%26#039;s not that they aren%26#039;t good but much less popular and with a smaller infrastructure and organization.

And I would assume that you are from Kothrud India.

So here is some of the website you can look for:

ITF with Master Tran as president (the one I belong)

http://www.tkd-iitf.org/

ITF with Chang Ung as president (the one I used to belong...)

India

Taekwon-Do Association of India (ITF)

Address: 34-A, Bhawani Kunj, D-2 Vasant Kunj New Dheli-110070

INDIA

Tel: +91-11-268 91 983

Fax: +91-11-261 24 816

E-mail: itfindia@yahoo.com

From there you can write to them or see their website. It%26#039;s what I did when I moved to California. Master Tran organization was the fastest to answer.

Good luck!|||Hi I understand your question. Having been involved in the martial arts nearly since 1967, I have found only one or two Tae Kwon Do schools that are teaching the original(real) Tae Kwon Do. In case you don%26#039;t already know there are at least 75 different styles of Tae Kwon Do that are recognized in Korea. Most of the Tae Kwon Do commonly available has been changed.

I wish you luck in finding a school but understand that many will say that what they teach is an original style when in fact it is not. The really difficult part is simply this..... How will you know if the school is teaching the original or a modified version? It is not alway easy to tell.

All the best!
