How to improve my taekwondo?

what kind of practice do i need to do everyday?and what equipment should i wear?and it would be great if someone can show me the link on how to do taekwondo kicks(videos)|||You sound really enthusiastic about improving. Keep it up. Please type in %26quot;Revolution of Kicking%26quot; in your youtube search box. It%26#039;s made by 10th Dan Black Belt Master %26quot;Kang Shul Chin%26quot;, president of the World Tae Kwon Do federation. If I remember correctly, he is the only living recipient of the 10th Dan- a promotion given only to those who have dedicated their lives to the study of Tae Kwon Do (but I could be wrong, hehe). The video series contains great instructions on proper kicking techniques and drills.

You can also type up %26quot;Ultimate Kicking Drills%26quot; on youtube. This series deals more with the possible conditioning drills you can do to improve balance, flexibility, speed, and power.

From (some) experience, it really helps to do a lot of high knees and lower ab exercises. This has greatly improved my balance and kicking power. I%26#039;m currently studying how to use techniques effectively for sparring, so I try to drill on power and speed at home.

My personal training routine consists of a few rounds with Kettlebells, beginner plyometrics, high knees (my favorite), and lots of shadow-kicking.

If you go to a gym, your best friends are the roman chair (for lower ab exercises) and the heavy bag (for power and combination drills).

That%26#039;s all I guess! Good luck :)|||Just practice what you%26#039;re taught. Ask your instructor for videos on techniques, because there are varying methods for both teaching and executing various kicks. YouTube will not be a good source accordingly, unless you%26#039;re looking for tricks.

As for as what you need to practice as far as equipment goes - you just need space.

EDIT:

%26quot;10th Dan Black Belt Master %26quot;Kang Shul Chin%26quot;, president of the World Tae Kwon Do federation%26quot;

WOW - So incorrect, not even funny. There is no 10th Dan. Not unless you are dead. It is a posthumous award. And the Pres. of the WTF is named Choue. No wonder TKD has such a bad name, there are folks promoting themselves to the ignorant and getting away with it!!!|||take up Chinese Kenpo...much better than Taekwondo. Chinese Kenpo will improve both you internal and external strength and its been proven to be good for health benefits....its more of a complete art, focusing both on upper body and lower body strength...not to mention how brutal the art is. The translation for Kenpo is %26quot;alley fighting%26quot;, the art is meant to end a fight in under 30 seconds...a lot of limb breaking and muscle tearing (immitating the tiger)|||You have to convert the knowledge into forms by training and testing.

Watch, listen, think and train.

Learn to do dependable training by yourselves .

The best to know what practice is to ask your coach and give me your class schedule.

Is you want to join competitive TKD ,

Do this traning,

Any 3 day in 1 weeks

- running - 30km - (you don%26#039;t need to try 30km, take that%26#039;s my training you just make sure to run at least 1 %26amp; 1/2 hrs

--------------------------------------...

Gym or at (home)

Do some split and warm-up and the head rotation and blah blah

you know ^^

crunch

leg raise

lateral raise (or shoulder fly) is performed while standing or seated, with hands hanging down holding weights, by lifting them out to the sides until just below the level of the shoulders. This is an isolation exercise for the deltoids. Also works the forearms and traps. (don%26#039;t do weightlifting, big muscles just burden your arms speeds make it tone)

leg extension

leg curl

leg press

Squat (with weight also can)

TOO MUCH GO SEE THE GYM BOARD guide NORMALLY WE DO

BY REPETITIONS AND REST IN-BETWEEN.

My class is on Sunday and Thursday.

Wednesday and Saturday is resting for muscles

Don%26#039;t force yourself, When I am ignorance I use to train my arms even during bathing. With no adequately rest it will just weaken instead of getting stronger and fit.|||You must practice outside of class. I find videos alone wont make you into a good martial artist. You need the feedback of a competent instructor.

For kicks to be any good you need to perfect your stances, and learn to transition from stance to stance and side to side with smoothness precision and ease. You also need a sound base for the kicks to have power. You need to do T- squats and lunges in your work outs. I would do them at least 3 times a week. Make your every day things that you do into practice. For instance, you can clean the floor with a dust cloth by doing c-steps. Never bend from the waist to pick up things always squat to pick up what you have to from the ground. It you think through the moves you have learned you can get creative and make lots of things into practice. When the commercials com on TV use that time to meditate on your forms, or do four corner blocking. Use one or more of your forms to warm up when you get up in the morning it only takes a couple of minuets. Stretch a couple times a day and especially during and after workouts. Never kick full force without a padded target, the same for punches. Full force without a target can cause joint damage. These are just a few tips I give my students. |||kicks ,weights,|||have lots of training...

find a good couch...

gud luck........
