How many years does it take to reach black belt status in TaeKwonDo?

It%26#039;s all up in the air with TKD... I love it... but some schools 2 years.. others up to 5 years..... which Black belt would you guess would be better?.... Many TKD (as with any other art) schools are afraid to push their students to get better, in fear of pushing paying customers right out the door.... what a shame.... really dont worry about the belt.. worry more about how much better you get personally... and keep pushing yourself and you will far surpass what you thought was possible.... everyone starts Martial Arts with the Idea of getting the almighty Black Belt.... but if you dont work hard to get it... then what have you really earned? I wish you the best of luck... finding a good TKD school is difficult (I love TKD I am not bashing the style), but take a good hard look at the students at all of the TKD schools in your area... then look at other styles and compare the quality of the lessons and the quality of the students... Then make your decision and go for it... Take care|||seriously if your going to ask that question.. you arent on the right path to a black belt. it all depends on how quickly you grasp the moves and how much knowledge you have of them. and also if there are dojos that are afraid to push people in fear of kicking away paying customers dont deserve to be open. theyre called mcdojos. they should just focus on teaching, getting their students to a top quality, and focus on learning and acknowledgement rather then money and how good you look to your students|||The Kukkiwon requires 2 years of consistant training. The association I am in requires 3.|||5-10 years at a non mcdojo school butu will need to train hard|||I think it depends much on how hard you are working on it.

Generally it will take u ten months (3 times training at least per week) to reach red belt status. After that you will have to spend fourteen months to get ready for the black belt test.

So two years will be enough.

I will take my yellow belt test at this Friday.|||Most schools I%26#039;ve had experience with is 1 to 2 years.
