Just stretch out a lot (hold each stretch for at least 30 seconds) even out of tkd cuz it%26#039;s all about kicks. but since its only gonna b ur first class you don%26#039;t have to worry so much yet. I teach TKD and its not all serious stuff all the time, just have fun with it and experiment with the kicks or any moves u want. Just make sure you stretch out REALLY well cuz u don%26#039;t wanna pull a leg muscle, trust me it sucks|||Do you know what style of TKD you signed up for. By style I mean what organization your school is part of. ITF, WTF/Kukkiwon, ATA, etc? What happens in class will be greatly influenced by the organization your school is part of.
Some orgs are more self defense oriented while others are more sport oriented and others are more about the $$$.
Perhaps the school you signed up with has a website that we can check out and we can probably give you a better idea of what to expect.|||I hope you did not join and buy a contract for a black belt. If so you can expect this. If you pay and attend you will get rapid promotions. You will surely get a black belt in under 3 years. Very likely under 2 years. In the 1960%26#039;s less than 3% of all people in the U.S.A. that were in m the martial arts ever reached black belt. If any martial arts school has more than about 5% I suspect they are handing out belts. Especially if they give black belts to children.|||You should have a uniform already, wash it to help soften the fabric. You will probably start with the basics:proper greetings(bowing after you enter the dojang),stances etc.First form will be shown, proper way to punch/kick and blocks for punches/kicks.|||It is very easy. Just follow what your master says. First you%26#039;ll probably do simple warm ups. Then forms. And then you%26#039;ll spar. Have fun! It%26#039;s nothing intimidating, it%26#039;s more of a relaxing, conversing class unless you take it seriously and discipline yourself.|||The first of many. No big deal. Just don%26#039;t fart when you are kicking and the hottest girl in the do jang is holding your kick pad.|||My best friend teaches it. You have to be really quick on your feet not at first of course. it seems fun but what they teach in america is all for show.|||Wear loose clothing, but make sure its not too long, or your toes will get caught. Every school is a little different. ALSO, if you feel a little foolish, that%26#039;s totally normal!|||make sure you stretch your legs. Taekwondo may mean way of the hand and foot. But they mostly do kicks|||yea dont be embaressed if you do something wrong
